Ripley's Speed Racking Horses
Ripley's Speed Racking Horses
Eagle’s Painted Lady
SOLD

Sire: Eagle x Dillon’s Lady Warrior:

A beautiful sorrel and white spotted filly, she is so gentle and does not require constant riding.  She has been on the trails and all around the farm and will go anywhere.  She is probably only a 14.3 horse.  She stands to mount and will hit the natural four-beat gait without the rider knowing what they are doing. She does not have trouble keeping up with the speed horses.  She is so easy to catch and handle and has the desire to please.  This horse is the baby sitter we all look for.  She is registered RHBA.
Speck is a stud colt our of our Speck Grand Daughter mare and The Virginia Coal Miner by Rowdy Rawhide. He is buttermilk Buckskin and as you can see by his pictures he is gorgeous. He is a big boy and he will be fast. He is so friendly in the field and loves attention. He is locked in at 18 mph and will be 25 mph. He is extremely smooth and set up in the bridle naturally. He will be a great breeding Stallion. His dam's sire is homozygous for the Sabiano gene (His dam has had me five babies, at the present.  The first one was buckskin and white tobiano, second was palomino, who is on my home page, third one is Coal Miners Speck, forth one Rawhides Speck of Gold who is a buckskin and the fifth is Rawhide’s Rowdy Speck a sorrel and white Tobiano. His sire (Coal Miner) is homozygous for the agouti gene and has one cream gene so you can see he will definitely be producing color. There is no doubt he will be in the mid-twenties in speed and over the top in looks and conformation.
Coal Miner's Speck
by Rowdy Rawhide
SOLD
Rawhide's Speck of Gold
SOLD
This filly is out of The Virginia Coal Miner by Rowdy Rawhide (direct son of Rowdy Rawhide who is a direct son of EZD Falcon Rowdy) and Speck's Indian Squaw (Granddaughter of the famous 18 time WGC Speck).

She is about 17months in this picture. She is one beautiful buttermilk buckskin horse. She has two perfect matching back stockings and a gorgeous white blaze face. She is very gentle and easy to handle. I predict her to be 15 -15.2 hands tall and is very stout built. She has a great motor with a lot of desire. If she is like her siblings she will be 25 mph with a lot of looks and class. This will be a great filly to ride or breed. You can't get better bloodlines for speed and conformation.

She is registered racking.

  Cowboy (Speck Bloodline)
SOLD
Cowboy is a five year old gelding who is a registered Racking Horse.  He has incredible bloodlines and is a Grandson to the 18 time WGC Speed Racking Horse Speck.  He is 14.3 hands and is consistent at 18 mph.  He has a big motor but is very easy to ride.  He is UTD on all his shots and is ready to hit the trail or the show ring.  He is one of the prettiest Palomino horses I have ever owned.
Coal Miner's Rowdy Rawhide Apache
SOLD

His Dam is out of Marshall Dillon and his sire is The Virginia Coal Miner by Rowdy Rawhide.  He was taught to lead and tie by day two.  He is one of the prettiest babies I have ever raised.  I really take time with my babies to teach them to be handled and tied and lead.  I have found this makes them gentle and well behaved as they get older. He is 7 months old in the pictures.  You will notice he has turned black and white.  He is everything you have been looking for if you want color, speed and a smooth 4 beat gait, his full sisters have proven that. He is very gentle and so easy to handle.  He will make a great show horse, trail horse and a breeding stallion.  He should mature between 15-15.2 hands.
Coal Miner’s Law and Order
SOLD

Sire: Coal Miner x Dam: Dillon’s Blaze of Glory:

He is a beautiful B/W tobiano gelding with the right markings and color.  We broke him at two but could never get him consistent in his rack.  He would fly trotting but wasn’t very consistent hitting his rack. I turned him back out for almost a year and then recently I put him with Buhl Bush (the man who trained Rev. Homer).  He is back home and hitting the consistent rack with really good speed.  All I am doing now is fine tuning him.  The good thing is this horse will never have a pace problem.  Every ride he gets better and better.  He is so gentle and loves people.  Anyone can go out into the field and catch him.  Enjoy the updated pictures and video.  He is registered RHBA and is current with all shots and worming.
Yankee
SOLD
Yankee is a registered pure bred Standardbred and Racking nine year old gelding.  He is dark bay in color and stands 15 hands tall.  He is very gentle for a speed racking horse.  They say he has been gps’s at 26 mph but I have not had him to that speed.  There is no doubt that he is capable but that isn’t how I train my horses.  I have been riding him consistently at 20-22 mph. and from 15-20 mph and from 10-15 mph.  he will walk all day at 4.5 to 5 mph.  He is the smoothest horse I have ever ridden.  I have let him go beyond the 22 mph threshold just to see what he will do.  He goes into the fast single foot perfectly.  THERE IS NO PACE ANYWHERE NEAR THIS HORSE.  He is capable of high speeds if you ask for it but will come back down to a walk and settle into a slow rack.  If other horses are still going fast, he will want to stay with them (remember he is a race horse) but can be brought down with minimum effort. He is up-to-date on his shots and worming and teeth.  He has been power wormed to put weight on him.  He has the thick and long mane and tail.  He is a joy to ride and my son-in-law who is a novice rider loves to ride him.
Ace
SOLD

Ace is a smooth down slow and smooth at top speed of 18-20 MPH.  He is very gentle and easy to handle.  He is easy to shoe, clip, load, saddle, tie and lead.  He is great in the pasture with other horses.  He can ride in front or middle or back of the pack when on the trails.  He is very gentle and easy to ride.  He is not a beginner horse because he has a big motor and wants to go not because he is hard to handle.  He will calm right down to a walk  He does the 4 beat rack perfectly with no pace.  You don't have to know how to keep him in his gaits, he will do it all naturally.  He is 16 hands tall and very stout.  He has had years on the trail and will give you a wonderful experience. He is current on all shots and worming.
Coal Miner’s Marsha-Dillon
SOLD

Sire: Coal Miner x Dam: Dillon’s Proud Generator

Marsha is a beautiful bay and white tobiano filly.  She has a gentle disposition and is so easy to catch, tie, haul, and handle.  She is a good 15 hands now and should mature at 15.1. She is traveling easily at 13-15 MPH now and will make a 20 MPH horse as she matures.  This mare has it all.  She has a great motor but will come down to a walk and stay there if you desire. She is incredibly smooth in the walk, slow rack and fast rack.  There is nothing rough about this filly.  She is one of the most beautiful horses I have ever raised. She is capable of competing in the ring or ride the trail or just around the farm. At this time she is getting a lot of road riding where she is learning that dogs, cars, trash cans, mail boxes, cows, hay rolls, horns and trucks will not hurt her.   She stands to mount and dismount. She was put under saddle a year ago but did not need to be ridden a lot because she is so gentle.  I have gone for weeks without riding her without a problem.  She rides well with other horses and will go at any position.  She does well with other horses in the field, barn and trailer.  She is registered RHBA and is current with all shots and worming.
Coal Miner Paints the Town
SOLD

Sire: Coal Miner x Dam: Dillon’s Lady Warrior

Towner is a beautiful Sorrel gelding with a flax mane and tail.  He is three years old (at the time of this picture) and doing wonderful under saddle.  He rides the trails and will go straight up or down and will cross anything from creek to ditch.  He is a good 15 MPH and smooth all the way with the four-beat gait.  He will make a 15.1 hand horse as he matures  and could make 20 MPH.   He is so gentle and does it all.  He is such a pleasure to ride.  He is registered RHBA and is current on his shots and worming.
Coal Miner’s Deputy
SOLD
Sire: Coal Miner x Dam: Speck’s Roaning Girl:

He is a beautiful bay gelding.  He is three years old (at the time of this picture) and doing great under saddle. His Dam is the granddaughter of 18 time WGC Speed Racking Horse "Speck". He is 15 hands and should mature at about 15.1.  He is stocky built and should really carry the mail.   I believe he will make better than 20 MPH with his Dam being a granddaughter of Speck . He is so smooth in his gait.  There is no roughness even when he is coming back to a walk.  He seems to love people.  He is easy to catch and will follow you around the pasture.  This horse literally gets better every time I ride him.  He will ride the trail or the road.  He is getting a lot of experience on the road with cars, dogs, tractors, cows, trash cans, hay rolls, mail boxes, and bridges.  He gets along well with other horses in the trailer, field, trail and barn.  He has done real well on the trails and will ride at any position with other horses. He is registered RHBA and is current on all shots and worming.
Coal Miner’s Prospect
SOLD

Prospect is a beautiful 15 hand bay gelding. He is three years old (at the time of this picture) and going great under saddle on the trail, down the road or around the farm.  He is gentle enough to be a great horse for the adult novice rider or intermediate youth rider.  (I suggest intermediate  youth simply because of his speed.) If you are an accomplished rider he has all the motor you will ever want, you just have to ask for it.  That is what makes him so good, he can give you both worlds if you want it.  He goes up and down hills, crosses water, crosses ditches, neck reigns, rides anywhere comfortable with a group and doesn't fight with or kick at other horses.  He is also a pleasure to ride down the road (with dogs, cars, cows, mail boxes, trash cans, etc.) by himself.  He loads, clips, hauls, stands to mount, ties, and is smooth down slow or at a fast rack. He is 15 MPH and will easily make a 20 MPH horse as he matures. He should reach 15.1 hands when he finishes growing. His dam is out of Marshall Dillon and Pride's Generator Color Guard.  He is RHBA registered and would be incredible to show in your western pleasure racking classes.  He is  up to date with all shots and worming.

I bought her from a friend who was going through a hard time.  She had never been handled but has become a sweet heart.  She will come to you in the pasture and loves people.  She clips, ties, and loads.  She has had her teeth floated and has been bridled and saddled and doesn’t mind either one.  She is ready to be trained.   She is current with her shots and worming.
